Having trained as a gourmet chef in Switzerland, Vickie’s breakfasts will more than set you up for the day.
Vickie spent her early years jetting round the world as Tiny Rowland’s private chef. She’s distracted by all things “foodie” and has catered for all sorts of people in all sorts of places.
Her love of cooking and hosting is now poured into her famed serious breakfasts. From homemade blackcurrant compote with Greek yoghurt, potato rosti and local Kent apple juice to tomatoes-on-the-vine, 7 types of salt, butter from France and local sausages from Monkshill Farm, you’re guaranteed to breakfast like a king (after having just slept like one).
SAMPLE BREAKFAST MENU
Local natural yoghurt with rhubarb or blackcurrant compote (depending what is in season)
Chorizo, spicy tomato ragout and poached eggs
Creamed mushrooms on toasted brioche
Vine roasted tomatoes with crispy Serrano ham and basil oil
Scotch pancakes served with crispy bacon and maple syrup
Rosti potato cake with fried eggs and Monkshill Farm smoked back bacon
Traditional English breakfast (the full works)
All served with warm freshly baked bread from our local farm shop, homemade preserves, a selection of teas, great coffee and local Duskin’s apple juice.
All of our ingredients are sourced from local producers and farms. All dishes are home made on the premises by Vickie.
